Iran having both Sunni and Shiat. The Tikrit of Iraq belong to Sunni religion while the Iran deploying a volunteer troop with Shiat faith ( private soldier) to liberate the Tikrit. Sunnia fighting with Shiat is the main concern of resident of Tikrit.
