A knifeman launched a terrorist attack on the London Underground, seriously injuring one man and wounding two other people, as he screamed "this is for Syria".
Scotland Yard declared they were treating the attack at Leytonstone station, east London, as "a terrorist incident".
Commander Richard Walton, the head of the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, said: "I would urge the public to remain calm, but alert and vigilant. The threat from terrorism remains at severe, which means that a terrorist attack is highly likely."
It is alleged the attacker slashed a person's throat and injured two others.
