ថ្ងៃទី 2 ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ 2025 គឺជាការចាប់ផ្តើមនៃភាពតានតឹងនយោបាយរវាងប្រទេសថៃ និងកម្ពុជា នៅពេលដែលរដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជាបានសម្រេចចិត្តរៀបចំដាក់ពាក្យបណ្តឹងជម្លោះលើ តំបន់ព្រំដែនដ៏រសើបចំនួនបួន គឺប្រាសាទមុំបី ប្រាសាទតាមាន់ធំ ប្រាសាទតាមាន់ដាក់ និងប្រាសាទតាក្វាយ ទៅកាន់តុលាការយុត្តិធម៌អន្តរជាតិ។ ព្រឹត្តិការណ៍សំខាន់ៗ និងការវិវឌ្ឍពាក់ព័ន្ធ៖ ការប្រកាសយកតំបន់ជម្លោះទៅតុលាការយុត្តិធម៌អន្តរជាតិ (ICJ) ទោះបីជាកម្ពុជាសង្កត់ធ្ងន់លើគោលនយោបាយសន្តិភាពក៏ដោយ ក៏កម្ពុជាបានទទូចឱ្យបន្តនីតិវិធីផ្លូវច្បាប់ដើម្បីកំណត់ព្រំដែននៅក្នុងតំបន់ទាំងបួននេះ ផលប៉ះពាល់លើតំបន់ព្រំដែន ព្រឹត្តិការណ៍នេះបាននាំឱ្យមានភាពតានតឹង និងការប៉ះទង្គិចគ្នាយ៉ាងសំខាន់នៅក្នុងតំបន់ជម្លោះ ការចរចាទ្វេភាគី គណៈកម្មាធិការពិសេសមួយត្រូវបានបង្កើតឡើងជាបន្តបន្ទាប់ដើម្បីដោះស្រាយបញ្ហានេះ ហើយកិច្ចប្រជុំគណៈកម្មការព្រំដែនរួម (JBC) ត្រូវបានធ្វើឡើងដើម្បីដោះស្រាយស្ថានការណ៍។ ប្រសិនបើអ្នកត្រូវការព័ត៌មានថ្មីៗបន្ថែមអំពីស្ថានភាពព្រំដែន ឬវិធានការឆ្លងកាត់ព្រំដែនបច្ចុប្បន្ន សូមប្រាប់ខ្ញុំផង ដើម្បីខ្ញុំអាចជួយស្វែងរកព័ត៌មានបន្ថែម។

តំបន់ព្រំដែនដ៏រសើបចំនួនបួន គឺតំបន់ត្រួតស៊ីគ្នា ឬតំបន់ដែលមិនទាន់ដាច់ស្រេចរវាងកម្ពុជានិងថៃ ដែលរាជរដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជាបានសម្រេចបញ្ជូនវិវាទទាំងនេះទៅកាន់ [តុលាការយុត្តិធម៌អន្តរជាតិ ICJ] នៅទីក្រុងឡាអេ។ តំបន់ទាំងបួននោះរួមមាន៖ 

1. តំបន់មុំបី
2. ប្រាសាទតាមាន់ធំ
3. ប្រាសាទតាម៉ឺនតូច (ឬ ប្រាសាទតាមាន់តូច)
4. ប្រាសាទតាក្របី 

តំបន់ប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រ និងព្រំដែនទាំងបួននេះ មានភាពរសើបយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ដោយសារតែភាគីទាំងពីរ (កម្ពុជា-ថៃ) បានប្រកាន់ជំហររៀងៗខ្លួន ហើយត្រូវបានដកចេញពីរបៀបវារៈនៃការចរចាធម្មតារបស់គណៈកម្មការចម្រុះព្រំដែន [JBC] ដើម្បីទុកឱ្យ [តុលាការអន្តរជាតិ] ជាអ្នកដោះស្រាយ និងកំណត់។

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the former Prime Minister and President of the Cambodian Senate, has strongly supported the proposal by his son, the current Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Manet, to bring the border dispute between Thailand and Cambodia before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Two Cambodian media outlets, the Khmer Times and the Phnom Penh Post, have reported simultaneously on Prime Minister Hun Sen's support.

"If we don't let the courts decide, this issue will be like the Gaza dispute between Palestine and Israel—unresolvable. There will be endless fighting, whether it's a small matter or a big one. Why be afraid to go to court if we are sincere?" The Phnom Penh Post reported Prime Minister Hun Sen's remarks this morning (June 2) at a joint meeting of the Cambodian National Assembly and Senate.

According to Cambodian media reports, he also stated that if Thailand continues to avoid this option, "it is clear that there is something behind it."

Meanwhile, a joint session of the Cambodian National Assembly and Senate also approved Prime Minister Hun Manet's statement on taking the border dispute to the International Court of Justice.

Previously, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet commented on this issue via a Facebook post on Sunday night (June 1), proposing an immediate meeting of the Cambodian-Thai Joint Border Commission (JBC) with the Thai side to survey, determine the boundary, and install border markers between the two countries.

It was also stated that the issue of the five disputed areas around Ta Muen Temple and its vicinity, which will be brought before the International Court of Justice, should be included on the agenda of the Joint Border Committee (JBC). The disputed area mainly comprises the Ta Muen Temple group located along the Thai border in Surin Province.

The developments on June 1-2 occurred after a clash on the Thai-Cambodian border at Chong Bok, Ubon Ratchathani province, on May 28, in which Cambodia reported the death of one Cambodian soldier.
