The PLZ-05 is a Chinese self-propelled artillery mount (ACS) of the self-propelled howitzer class , designed and manufactured by the Chinese company Norinco . Called Type 05 [5] in some sources . The design of the PLZ-05 began in the mid-1990s, and in 2003 the first prototype was created [6] . The PLZ-05 is a further development of the PLZ-45 self- propelled guns , which was adopted by the PLA in the 1990s and was exported. The PLZ-05 has a crew of five and is equipped with a semi-automatic loader. On the PLZ-04 modification, the crew was reduced to four people
