Cambodian UN Peacekeeping under Attack

In November 12, 2008 " Three Malian civilians were killed and around 30 people were wounded in a suicide attack late Monday in the country's violence-hit north. Four Cambodians working for an organisation subcontracted by UNMAS (the UN's mine-clearing operation) were wounded among those 30 injured, around 2000 GMT -- 20 h:00 PM time in Cambodia on Monday 12, November 2018 at GR __________ in a terrorist attack in Gao. The Reuter reports that  a loaded 4x4 vehicle exploded in the vicinity of a residential complex. The assault was claimed by the Group to Support Islam and Muslims (GSIM), a fusion of three Malian jihadist groups allied with Al-Qaeda. Malian and international security forces have been mobilised following the "tragic incident" The attack came as French Defence Minister Florence Parly and German counterpart Ursula von der Leyen met in the capital Bamako on Monday to discuss Mali's troubled peace accord and a planned five-nation anti-terror force for the Sahel.

The Six main Islamists groups in Mali are (1) Ansar Dine, (2) Movement for Unity and Jihad in West Africa (Mujao), (3) al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), (4) the Signed-in-Blood Battalion and (5) the Islamic Movement for Azawad (IMA), (6)The GSIM -- the Group to Support Islam and Muslims (GSIM). Those above armed equipped have been attacking to the Pro-Government Armed Groups namely (1) National Movement for the Liberation of the Azawad  (2) The Republican Movement for the Restoration of the Azawad  (3) The National Front for the Liberation of Azawad and (4) Popular Front for the Liberation of Azawad.
